Digital Extensions builds local-first software. The short version of this policy is that most of your data never reaches us at all. This page explains what that means in practice, and the limited cases where we do handle information.
Data inside our applications stays on your machine
Corpus Review, Corpus Chronology, and Markers Helper process your documents, records, annotations, and student data entirely on your own computer. We do not upload, receive, store, or have any access to that content. There is no cloud sync and no server-side processing of the files you work with — with one exception you control, described below.
Optional AI features
Where our applications offer AI assistance, it runs on a local model when one is available. A cloud model is used only if you — or, in a Workgroup, your administrator — explicitly configure one in the application's AI policy. When a cloud model is configured, the content you choose to process with it is sent to that provider under the provider's own terms; it still does not pass through or get retained by Digital Extensions. With no cloud model configured, nothing leaves your machine.
Information you send us directly
When you use a form on this website, we collect only what you provide:
- Contact form: your name, email address, and message.
- Early-access form: your email address and any description of what you're building.
We use this information solely to respond to you and to manage early-access interest. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Payments
Purchases are handled by a third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card details — the processor manages payment information under its own privacy and security terms.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand traffic, we will describe it here.
Your choices
You can ask us to access or delete any information you've sent us through a form by getting in touch. Because your application data lives on your own device, you remain in direct control of it at all times.
